Darren Caul : Director of Community Safety and Crime Prevention (includes Bylaws)

He grew up in Victoria and the Lower Mainland and he has a Masters degree in criminal justice from the University of the Fraser Valley. He’s worked for or with RCMP detachments (though he was never a police officer), the National Crime Prevention Centre, Alberta Justice doing crime prevention and working with communities, government and educational organizations on reducing crime and “improving communities’ sense of safety.

“It really is about tending to the root causes of crime and community safety in our city. Engaging many partners and stakeholders in those longer term approaches and solutions, while at the same time attending to the more immediate concerns and symptoms of those social issues in our community in which enforcement is one part.”
Stephanie Ball : Executive Director of Central Okanagan Journey Home (COJH)

Ball comes to the job at Journey Home from E4C in Edmonton, where she was the director of housing.  E4C helps the impoverished with access to food, transitional housing and training.

"I was extremely impressed when I did a deep dive into the evolution of the Journey Home Strategy," she said.  "I knew early on this is where I wanted to focus my energy and passion.
